This week, the government is conducting a summit on preventing violent crime and Home Secretary Sajid Javid has said that health workers, police and teachers could be held legally accountable for failing to spot signs of trouble. He is asking for help to deal with this crucial issue and in doing so is looking in every possible direction for someone to blame. But until the Government is honest about the true reasons behind an increase in crime then nothing will change, especially when it comes to knife and gun crime.
